Python error when trying to import patient data from web portal (Eaglesoft & Dentrix Web Forms Users)

This error occurs when the user tries to open a .pat file which had been downloaded from the Web Forms or Appointments tab on our web portal. (forms.enlivedental.com)

The user opens the file, and a python error occurs which ends with something like "Unable to access database".

To resolve this issue:

1. Browse to the Enlive Dental install folder, which is typically located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Enlive Dental\ for 64-bit PCs, and C:\Program Files\Enlive Dental\ for 32-bit PCs. Right click and select properties.


2. Select the Security tab, and click Edit.



























3. Click Add.


4. Type the word "everyone" and hit Enter.


5. Click the Allow checkbox next to Full control, and then OK.



Once the steps above are complete, try opening up the patient import file from the website again and it should work. If not, please contact support@enlivedental.com or call us at 800-942-0375 x2.
