Unable to Access Open Dental Images Folder Fileshare Error

  1. Ensure that you have properly entered the correct windows username and password of your Open Dental server inside the ‘Options’ Menu. From your Open Dental server: Click start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts or search for “User Accounts”. Here you will find the account name and you will need the password for that account name.
  2. Ensure that your “OpenDentImages” folder is explicitly shared. From your Open Dental server: Navigate to your “OpenDentImages” Folder. right click on “OpenDentImages” and go to properties. Make sure that the folder is shared and that “everyone” has full write and write permissions.
