iPad is not detected by the Enlive Paperless Windows Application (Eaglesoft & Dentrix Users)


If your Enlive Paperless software on your workstation PC is not correctly showing your iPad in the right-click menu, (as in the screenshot above) follow these steps to troubleshoot the problem.

Application Troubleshooting:
First, we're going to try the old tried-and-true IT solution: restarting your programs.

Restart Enlive Patient Forms iOS app
1.      On your iPad, double click the home button at the bottom of the tablet. You should see the screen zoom out until a much smaller thumbnail of the Enlive Patient Forms app is visible.
2.     With your finger, swipe this thumbnail to the top of the screen until it disappears.
3.     Restart the app by tapping on the Enlive Patient Forms logo on the home screen of your iPad.


Restart Enlive Paperless Windows app
1.      On your PC, right click the Enlive Paperless app. It should be located near the bottom right corner of your screen, and will look like this: 
2.     Click "Exit".

3.     Start the application again by double clicking the Enlive Paperless icon on your desktop. It should look like this:



WiFi Troubleshooting:

If restarting both applications did not fix the problem, it may point to a WiFi issue.

1.       On your iPad, open the "Settings" app. It will have a grey gear icon that looks like this: 

2.       Next, select "Wi-Fi" and ensure your iPad is connected to your WiFi network. Your WiFi network's name will have a checkmark next to its name if it is connected and working properly.
3.       If you find that your iPad is connected to a WiFi network but is still not showing up on the Enlive Paperless Windows app while the Enlive Patient Forms app is running on the iPad, it may be connected to a guest network instead of your private, internal network. Guest networks are usually set up to block the kind of communication that our app requires the iPad and PCs in your office to be able to have. Try connecting to the other WiFi networks available in your office if this is the case.
